I was walking to Pinkberry during my lunch hour today when I saw this lovely mailbox in Westwood Village!

I'm going to see JAMC @ the Glass House (ugh!) on Thursday and I hear that Scarlett Johansson is going to sing back-up for them?! What an odd turn of events...

I'm sorely tempted to get an imac (20") but then I realized that my desk is covered with so much crap that I'd have nowhere to put it. In my 27 years I have amassed SO MUCH STUFF I've no idea what to do with it all anymore. I sometimes have dreams of a stark white bedroom with nothing in it but a bed and desk. But I think the only option left to me is: move to a bigger place. (What? Stop buying stuff, you say? What, no, silly, I could never do that..)
The set-times have gone up for Coachella.. I'm only going Friday but it's not as bad as it could have been:
I think my path will go: Of Montreal --> Silversun Pickups --> Arctic Monkeys/Rufus Wainwright/Peaches --> Jesus and Mary Chain --> *JARVIS COCKER* --> Interpol/Sonic Youth --> Björk/DJ Shadow. Of Montreal, Peaches, Interpol & Sonic Youth I've seen before so if I miss tiny bits of their sets I don't think I'll be too excited. But Friday will be all about the JAMC & the JARV.
Yesterday I somehow found myself wandering into my local IKEA and walked out with a new synthetic down comforter (real down comforters make me cough) and a cover for it. Perhaps it's because I enjoy sleeping so much but I love buying things for my bed.
Today I tried tidying up a bit (failed) and headed out to TJ's to buy stuff for dinner and had a Pinkberry date with Mika. I forget how trendy that place has gotten, but I still enjoy their frozen yogurt. And, I scored: a ticket to JAMC @ the Glass House. Oh how I hate that place but I guess it's worth it to get to see the Reids.
Then I came home and made this ------>
I'm pretty proud of my attempts to keep up with this cooking business. Pocket Mouse and I have decided to swap recipes and I figure having visual confirmation will be an incentive for us. I've yet to make something that actually requires "cooking" (i.e. fire) but I don't want to try something too difficult and get discouraged. Baby steps.
And now I'm going to try out my new comforter with a cup of tea and get to work on the bajillion mix cds I've promised people.
JIM REID IS SO FUCKING CUTE.
The end.
