T-minus-3 days! I'm getting antsy now. My outfit is coming along but sewing is so hard!! it is such a precise art, compared to knitting. I've got the black robe starting to come together, now I have to attach the burgundy lining and clean up the edges. I realized I forgot a house crest patch so I bought one on ebay but I've given up on getting it in time for the book release. Sorry the photos are bad quality but they're reflected off mirrors. I'll take better ones of the finished product!

Yesterday, D-chan & Mika & I stood in line for hours to catch a midnight screening of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Since some people may not have seen it yet I will refrain from commenting about the movie. But here is a pic of us, Mika's Slytherin outfit was really cute, she was all decked out in the sweater and had even made a "Weasley Is Our King" badge. We are making school robes from scratch and they're not finished yet, but we are hoping to get them ready for the midnight release of Book 7.

The movie let out around 2:30am and so we thought we'd drop by the neighborhood Kwik-E-Mart, where we stocked up on some criminally sweet pink-frosted donuts and Buzz Cola. Apparently we were not the only witches with that idea, as we recognized some other Hogwarts students as we stood in line.

This morning I woke up and went to see my dentist to get a filling (no more pink-frosted donuts for me!), then came home for a bit and then went BACK to get three wisdom teeth pulled. I was a bit nervous about the IV sedation but it went really smoothly. Now I am stuck on a diet of liquid foods but damn if a burger doesn't sound delicious... there I go again, wanting what I can't have. I am a little bit worried about how the right side of my face is still a bit numb but hopefully that will be gone by morning. Now, I am off to take my vicodin like a good girl, and to the land of dreams...

I can't stop watching that video of otters holding hands. I guess it was all the rage several months ago but I seem to have missed it somehow.. but it's so cute, especially at the end! Here it is in case there is anybody else out there who hasn't seen it yet.

I saw Spider-man 3 last night and it was alright, but we were especially excited to see the trailer for Harry Potter & the Order of the Phoenix. Mika & I are going to dress up for the movie and book release and originally we had planned on making (from scratch!) some Quidditch uniforms but as July nears we are realizing we might not have enough time to do all that. So we might settle for the regular school uniforms + making robes, which would be infinitely easier... but we'll see. I'm still deciding if I should go as Ravenclaw or Gryffindor. I did see some Gryffindor/Trojan chuck taylors (maroon with gold trim)... Also if I have enough time I'd like to try to make an invisibility shawl. If I run out of time I guess as long as I finish it by winter it should be okay.

My supervisor at work has suggested that I might be depressed, and left me some pamphlets on seeking counseling. How do you know if you're depressed? I don't feel sad or anything, just overwhelmed by an oppressive feeling of ennui. (haha!) But regardless of whether I am or not, I think I'm going to try it out and see how it is. It's something new, y'know? Maybe it'll do me good to talk to someone who's not a friend.
